The Village Design Statement (VDS) may be used by:

• Residents, land owners or local businesses as guidance before submitting planning applications for new buildings, extensions, access points etc

• Architects, developers or designers who should consult it to see what the residents of Little Leigh think is important in any new development

• Planning officials who should use it as additional guidance in any decisions affecting Little Leigh

Since the initial display regarding the VDS, consultation has taken place with individuals, groups and businesses in the Parish.

Following this some guidelines have been drafted that may help with any future planning policies and decisions that affect Little Leigh.

We now seek your views on these statements before the document is finalised for discussion with Council officers with a view to getting it formally adopted.
